Who Will You Be

Who will you be now that you’re not inside of me?

We were one when I began my journey, when I learned a deeper self-love and sat by the fire burning.

We were one when I healed my inner child, through cries and embracing my feminine wild.

We were one when I released my vulnerability and let go of fear, when I started living without regard to opinions far and near.

We were one when I let my beliefs unravel and committed to living less by the gavel.

We were one when I felt my spiritual power, moments spent in meditation that will only be ours.

A birth, a rebirth, both naked and new. Even my body grew the placenta for two.

Mother, woman, goddess unite, time to spread our wings and take flight.

We were one when I found a new lens to look through, one of love and beauty – like you.

Now we are two and I miss feeling you, but I’m excited to see who you will be, now that you’re not inside of me.
